Well I was ready to get back to blogging about John's show but unfortunately I can't get the show to download to Itunes or to work on blogtalkradio.com.  Technical Issues.UGH hate them.  

If I can get the show to work I will blog about it, if not I will try for this coming Monday's show.

On Facebook, the social games are big business. And the players of one game are all pulling together for the holidays holding one of the biggest charity events ever seen on Facebook. The game is Mafia Wars, with over 20 million daily players worldwide.

For those of you who never heard of Mafia Wars, it is a text based game by Zynga Game Network Inc., the largest social game maker in the world. The premise of the game is to do jobs, build properties, rob and ice other mafia members all while you try to build your Mafia Empire and become the best in the game. It is a fun and very addictive game for those who play and the players of these games are very passionate about it. It is also available on other sites like Yahoo, MySpace & coming soon to the new Google Games Network but Facebook is the biggest. The players of these games come from every walk of life, so it is not just kids. 

The game takes on a whole new direction on Facebookthat Zynga never antisipated due to the social networks ease of networking with people from all over the world. The players of the game on Facebook have added their own wrinkle to the game by forming their own Mafia family groups so they can all better communicate and are structured just like a real mafia family with Godfathers, Godmothers, Capo's, Soldier's, Hitmen and the list goes on. They are very organized and dedicated to the game and now they are pulling together to show everyone just how dedicated and together they really are by holding this event. 

The event is a Mock War, where as everyone just goes in and kill other players, a so called free for all battle. Only this time it is not to see who has the strongest family but to raise money for a great cause. They are all showing the world that mobsters do have a heart and are stepping up to prove it. This will deffinately be the biggest event ever for the game, Facebook and the charities who will benefit from the event. 

The event is open to every player of the game and the minimun donation to play is just $2.00 but you are free to donate more and they hope you will for the charities sake. Zynga & Facebook Podcast Blog Followers

For those of you who follow my blog on John Sweeney's podcast...as you know I have not blogged in 3 weeks.  I have not been able to due to personal issues and now my daughter having medical issues.  I totally lost my will to do anything.   I do hope to resume blogging about show very soon.   My guess is there won't be to many shows between now and the new year.  I will do my best to get a few in but if not once the new year is here i will start doing it again.  I know many use this to get information instead of listening to the show.  You should listen in for you can call in and ask questions etc.

Thoughts 11/1/10

I have come to realize over this past weekend that for me there will be no man or love again.  I will never fall in love, have butterflies in my stomach, daydreaming about a guy, waiting for him to call, text,etc.  


I guess I had my two loves and lost them both. One God took to be with him and the other well I never had a chance from the start. I will always love both men and they always have a special place in my heart.  


I guess now my life is just being mommy, don't get me wrong that is awesome but would of loved to have that special guy too.  My daughter always has been and always will be my life.  I just sit and think wow in a few more years she will be out dating etc and have no time for her mommy and than I truly will be all alone. I feel alone and lonely now even though she  does keep me on my toes and don't have to much time to think about it.


I am not a terrible person, I am good, sweet, loving and caring person.  I try to be true to my religious values.  Sure I screw up now and again. I just wanted someone to enjoy life with as well have fun with me and my daughter.  A man who would be good to us and keep us safe.  


My daughter is so sweet she tries to make me feel better. She should only know that love is not as easy as she thinks. :-)  Or that people don't just break up as easily as she thinks or would like.  I just hope that she doesn't look at love in a bad way.  I wanted to her see the good side not bad side.  I want her having a positive view.     

The Facebook & Zynga Podcast 10/25/10

I am back to blogging about John's show.  Took some time off for it was to boring...LOL just kidding.  Personal things got in the way and this weeks blog not as informative as others, just not myself.    I do encourage everyone to listen to this show as well as the prior one. Prior one had Nate from Zynga on.  Will put the link at bottom of blog.


Well this week they discussed several things.  I must say this week John was off his game but in fairness he was under the weather. So before I go any further I know he reads my blogs..Mr. Sweeney you have to get your rest so you are better and can be a help to others.  Be sure to start doing this for don't make me come down there and get all up in your face Brooklyn style--for you know I will!!!!  LOL  Seriously you need to take care of yourself.


Ok so back to things.... His co-host Joanne did eventually join the show.  John discussed the Wall St Journal article about Facebook privacy issues how the game applications are giving user information out to third parties.  Zynga has stated they don't do that at all.  Facebook is taking action now to stop this from happening but in the meantime when you start a new game and you hit allow they are getting your information.  You can try to call these people and have your information removed but in the end they still wind up with your information.  Its just a lose lose situation.  Let's hope FB keeps their word and fixes it.  Also Canada has it where they opt in to things and that is how it should be everywhere.  We have to opt out of things.  


John then discussed that all MW members are now in Italy.  Its like Vegas but you can pick to do either energy or fight jobs you don't have to do both. If you want skill points do both but you must not click on boss job till your done with both energy and fight jobs.  Consumables there is a link for them.  Click on the link it takes you to the job that gives them to you.  You will need a lot of them for Italy.


Then he talked about the missions or as i like to call them the dreaded missions. Me personally i love them and hate them.  You have family members hounding you to get others to finish or delete them. Or I start one run out of energy and get deleted for not finishing it the first time.  Anyway..John talked about how the loot stinks now.  He likes the changed they made on missions where you can click on the person to email them to remind them.  Adding more people to missions where you need 6 or 7 people.  New cross promotions coming out with Frontierville and Farmville you will get limited addition items etc.   They are great as long as you play those games.
